Crack the Safe - Create Your Own Escape Room

A mysterious safe is waiting to be opened, but no one knows the code. Players must search for clues, solve puzzles and collect the digits they need to crack the safe. Can they discover the complete code and unlock it?

You create the escape room by choosing the puzzles and challenges that best fit your players. Each puzzle reveals one digit of the safe code, so you decide how many puzzles to include, how challenging the game will be, and how long it will take.

Before the game, build your own SafeBox using a simple shoebox. Our step-by-step instructions show you how to wrap it in aluminum foil, turn it into a cool-looking safe, and fill it with candy, a small gift, or any surprise you choose. Place a phone on the SafeBox to become the digital lock.

Players scan the entry QR code on another phone and the adventure begins! They explore the room, scan QR codes, solve puzzles, and collect the digits they need.

Once they have the complete code, they enter it into the digital safe. Crack the code and the SafeBox is unlocked! Players can finally open it and discover the candy, present, or special surprise waiting inside.

Prep time: 30 min–several hours

Choose how many puzzles you want to include, select the puzzles that best fit your players, print and prepare them, then arrange the clues around your chosen game area. Set up one phone as the digital safe and place the entry QR code at the entrance.

You control how elaborate the escape room becomes. A short game with a few ready-made puzzles can be prepared quickly, while a longer experience with many puzzles, customized clues and a more elaborate room setup can take several hours.

Tips for players

Work together to solve each puzzle and discover the digits of the safe code. Some challenges use printed clues, while others use QR codes, phones, cameras, music and objects around the room.
